Godalming Operatic Society
Widely regarded as one of the country's leading Gilbert and Sullivan Societies. The Society was founded in 1925, and (excepting the war years) has put on a major Gilbert and Sullivan production in every subsequent year.
Currently we perform a fully staged G&S opera every February, with a full orchestra, and in June or July we put on a smaller scale work, often at the Electric Theatre in Guildford.
New members always welcome. Rehearsals take place at Moss Lane School, Godalming.
The Society has an active social life and has a separate Social Committee which arranges a variety of events throughout the year, including trips to other shows, parties, quiz evenings, barn dances, garden parties and during the Summer months, weekly evening walks.
Godalming, For contacts see website.
This group was formed in 1949 and concentrates on drama, producing two plays per year.
The members are of all ages and from all walks of life and enjoy an active social life, with parties and outings during the year. The active members take part in all the activities involved in staging a play: building the set, organising props, lighting, costumes and front of house, as well as acting and directing. New members are always welcome, whatever their field of interest.

DDOS: Dorking Dramatic Operatic Society
DDOS brings live theatre to Dorking for the pleasure of both audiences and performers alike. Although the society is probably best known for its annual ‘big show’ musical at the Dorking Halls, DDOS is in the fortunate position of being able to undertake a host of theatrical activities throughout the year in the compact 86 seat Green Room Theatre. The theatre is tucked quietly away behind the Dorking Halls in a building which was only ever supposed to provide temporary barracks for the Canadian Army in WWII.
Performances: The Green Room Theatre, Dorking. Behind the Dorking Halls, Dorking, Surrey, RH4 1SG. Dorking Halls Box Office: 01306 881717. Email: email@example.com.

The Friends of the Barn who celebrated their silver anniversary in 2006 are a separate organisation which supports all aspects of the running of the theatre through servicing the Front-of-House function.
The theatre is also available and used by many other local groups including the Southern Counties Drama Festival and Glow Theatre Group who enjoy the facilities provided at this fully equipped venue. For further details of all the above groups, please visit the website.
